This shoot is srsly rad. Dreamt up by Chic Weddings in Italy and inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet (aka the Leonardo DiCaprio version we all know and love), it conveys the story of two young lovers and their whirlwind romance, complete with a one of a kind color palette, youthful details, and stills by Carmen & Ingo that are anything but still. Take a peek…
On the venue, Byblos Art Hotel (coolest place ever?):
We have chosen for this project a historical villa just outside Verona, Italy, the only property of this grandeur with a contemporary pop interior decor, combining therefore classic with modern. This theme runs throughout the shoot, in the usage of jeans to contrast the dandy elegant style of the suit that Romeo wears for the wedding ceremony.
They chose models Luca Piovesan & Angela Robusti to express the fresh and careless enthusiasm of their relationship. Stunning.
The plot of the shoot starts with the evening ball where the couple meets, continues in one of the rooms of the villa and ends with their secret marriage. The female model’ skirts used were Dolce & Gabbana vintage collection of the 90s and we wanted to show a psychedelic love tucked in the Romantic Villa Amista’ in Verona.
Don’t Carmen & Ingo‘s images make you feel like you’re right there amidst all this color?!
Thanks to Chic Weddings in Italy + Carmen & Ingo for sharing such an original take on Romeo & Juliet with us today! We sure wouldn’t mind seeing a bride + groom take this concept and run with it.
