Spring isn’t *just* about pastels and sunshine, as much as we’re head over heels for both. Sure, that’s half the equation but the other half is made up of drizzly days and gardens emerging through unexpected storms, fresh and new. There’s often just as much gray as blue to be seen, and Elizabeth Ulrich Design + Chrissy of High Five For Love Photography both know and appreciate those April showers. Thus this moody, romantic spring vignette was born…
Absolutely stunning suite.
A few notes via Elizabeth Ulrich Design: This shoot was inspired by a more moody look at spring—the “in like a lion” version where budding blooms mix with grey days and tempestuous weather. The mix of dripping florals in deep hues of magenta and purple, black candles and stormy grey clay plates and velvet chairs gave the shoot a sultry feel. Elements like red wine, blackberries and dark honey—foods that are both sweet and sexy—added to the romance of the day.
Into spring but not so into pink? These arrangements by SOULflowers are sure to do the trick.
We’re pretty enamored with all the deep tones throughout this scene, and that satin box pleated skirt in blush by Erin Grey Couture is the ultimate contrast.
Really, really gorgeous. Thanks to High Five For Love Photography and the artisans below who brought this shoot together!
