Surf culture. Laid back tropical. Clear blue waters. Sun kissed skin and salty hair. Just a few phrases Opihi Love mentioned, making us we wish we were on Maui’s North Shore to see this bridal bouquet and hairstyle inspiration IRL. Then there’s hair + makeup artist Maui Mira’s brilliant braids and waves among Maui’s ocean waves, all shot by Ashley Camper at an exclusive oceanfront spot on this particularly pretty stretch of the island.
Did we mention the tropical bouquets?
On Dellables‘ tropical bouquets… Proteas are trending right now, you can find them in bridal bouquets and used as statement flowers in centerpieces—but rarely are these waratah proteas given much thought. The bright magenta and pincushion structure make this a simple bouquet that exudes tasteful tropical bohemia. The deep hues of maroon, marsala, and magenta against the rich blues we use in the shoot and the vast pacific ocean in the background elevated the styling with ease.
From Opihi Love Wedding + Event Design:
Our couple, Lily and Dylan, are Maui residents who embody the North Shore culture. Lily had a few looks provided by Maui Designer, Salt on the Rocks. The crop top two- piece gown, with her hair adorned with pops of magenta down her braid, reflected a flirty bride. Her second look was a bit more moody, showcasing a sea foam vintage dress, her hair banded with a fishtail braid, and a gorgeous succulent crown. Lastly, for cocktails we threw Lily in a short beaded vintage dress, and let her hair loose. Dylan stayed relaxed in a pair of slacks, white button down and some Vans.
Waves, braids, and flowers all in one shoot? We’ll take it! Thanks to everyone below for these tropical bridal ideas.
