Matt + Elaine had 3 main priorities in planning their Italian wedding: 1) Their guests’ comfort and happiness, 2) Incredible Italian food, and 3) keeping things genuine, yet elegant. Elaine’s Hayley Paige gown is the perfect representation of that last one, if you ask us—she loved the combo of modern and traditional. And the rest? You’ll just have to scroll through Danielle Poff’s shots and see for yourself.

Choosing a photog was a cinch because Elaine + Danielle went to school together. Elaine says, I have followed her on social media since she started shooting weddings and I always loved everything she does so it was a really easy decision for me. We actually ended up picking our date around when she was available because I knew I wanted her. It’s nice to share all these intimate moments with someone you are comfortable with.
Elaine, on one of her fave moments—the dinner: It felt so special to share a family style Italian meal with all the people who mean so much to us surrounding us. The other memorable parts are the quiet moments I got with Matt throughout the day, my favorite being when we got to sit in the library and wait for everyone to sit down at dinner before we were introduced. Everything moves so fast that it was nice to sit down next to each other and have a minuet to ourselves. The toughest part of planning was coordinating all the guests coming from out of town… This sure makes it all worth it.
We are both Italian, and I joke that my wedding was “food” themed because that was one of the more important parts to us, and we both love to eat. We brought Taste Catering some homemade meatballs and gave them my Grandma’s recipe to make sure they were perfect. She is 94 years old and made it to the wedding all the way from Staten Island New York and gave the chef’s meatballs a big thumbs up.
The dress draping over the chair… Sigh.
Cheers to Matt and Elaine!
