Tory of smith + james events + the team below were venue scouting for a whole different shoot when they came across Rancho Las Lomas. Obvs they had to change course immediately—peek at the next photo and you’ll see why—a vintage Spanish inspired scene with lush florals and a spirited tabletop was in order. Thanks to Kurt Boomer for sharing the photos!
Tory says, I have to mention how obsessed we were with Jill from Haute Mess Hair‘s braid. The flowers she worked in were perfect. We have all been attempting Heidi braids around the office now. Victoria of Vixavage made the model look perfect and we didn’t even give her any direction. We just asked her to feel inspired. What a talent.
Luckily witty rentals just so happened to have a table with gold hardware to channel their Spanish elegance.
Tory warned us we might fall in love with Crystal of Heirloom Design House‘s high-energy floral arrangements…
We laughed the entire day on this busy shoot and are grateful to have had a whole team of enthusiastic creatives that brought this inspiration together.
Congrats on such a successful editorial!
