We love the concept behind this dinner party Scarlet O’Neill photographed. It’s the idea of a nontraditional bachelorette party, mixed with a dinner that captures those carefree summer nights long after summer is gone. It’s truly something you can get away with in any season with the right vibe + color palette, and Paige of Studio Bicyclette & Ana Alic whipped up a model example for anyone who wants to bring this concept to life.
Need this gold cocktail shaker, stat!
We wanted to encapsulate that feeling of summer’s end in a dinner party that will carry us through into the fall, the way the wind blows sweetly on the porch, the creativity sparked through a vibrant sunset, the way love can feel so new and exciting on a hot summer’s night sitting on the beach. We started to pull together our vision through inspiration boards and perfect summer palettes… String lights and pillar candles illuminated our guests as the sun set on the rooftop terrace. Mismatched vintage chairs, tapestries from all corners of the globe, feather-detailed place settings, jewel-toned glassware and warm copper accents delighted all of our senses. Our guests enjoyed organic and local fare while surrounded by greenery and cascading blooms of vibrant pink, purple, and coral, all blended in perfect harmony.
Check out Paige’s blog for these DIY ombre napkins… Too good.
How amazingly do the food + cocktails by Lynsey Walker go with their color story?! She a crudités board, a shredded Brussels sprouts flatbread, and custom cocktails.
Paige sourced reclaimed wood from her family cottage and we used the wooden planks to build our table. We borrowed vintage and modern glassware from our favorite local cocktail emporium BYOB, and the mixture of colourful and copper bar essentials were perfect for our tablescape. To add even more of a personal touch we enlisted our friend and graphic designer Alex Perlin to create our place cards and menu. The bright colours and feather design along with the whimsical type perfectly embodied the theme of our event.
Thanks to the team below for bringing summer into fall!
