The fact that we’re starting off with the wedding cake should hint at just how gorgy this California forest editorial by Jessie Schultz Photography truly is. With a vintage merlot-hued settee as a catalyst, Jessie’s mind was running wild: maroon tones, a vintage lace dress, rustic accents… The ideas were endless. She says, It seemed a bit farfetched given where we live, but wherever you are, there are always little pockets and hidden gems not far from away where you can fulfill little daydreams.
We should have more shots of the groom holding the bouquet, don’t ya think?
Jessie explains, Centered under an arm of an oak we decorated the handmade farm table made from reclaimed wood with a moss runner, gold trimmed vanity mirrors and brass candlesticks. A large weaved basket with antler handles was filled to the brim with lush flowers and locally foraged greenery and vintage china and silverware were adorned with classic stationery and jade pebble details. Lanterns were strung from the overhanging branch and fashioned with pokeweed, spray roses, black succulents, and hanging amaranths. A chalkboard cake rested nearby on a wooden desert cart decorated with gold leaf garland and unripe pomegranates.
Be still our hearts. (!!!)
They dressed their bride and groom, Randi and Jesse, in a vintage lace gown and muted suit, both with dark maroon accents.
