Copper. Marble. Black and gray. A recipe for a super modern wedding design, right? Totally, but thanks to Joanna of Carillo & Co.’s emphasis on the environment (the photos by Kristina Adams Photography were taken in an oak grove after all) and the team’s focus on authenticity, those elements are also insanely romantic and soft. Modern, natural, romantic, soft… Love love it all.
Carillo & Co. was behind the paper + florals in addition to the event design. And Kristina of Kristina Adams Photography actually used her black Badgley Mischkas and the J. Crew suit from her + her guy’s wedding as props for this shoot. A great way to spread the love, huh?
Joanna of Carillo & Co. says, Modern weddings have a tendency to gravitate towards lavish events, with couples almost expected to have a unique twist that speaks to their love story incorporated into the reception. For this shoot, the inspiration was an air of simplicity. In all the details large and small, we wanted to create an atmosphere anchored in natural elements that ultimately showcased the authentic beauty of the bride and groom.
Oh yeah, these cakes are magic. And there’s more…
As each detail added onto the next, we found that the beauty wasn’t coming from opulence, but rather from quality and a sense of connection to the natural. We were so thrilled to see it all come together and hope our work can inspire something sleek and organic in your next event!
Definitely. Thanks to the talents below for sharing today.
