We absolutely adore the concept behind this scene that Shindig Chic dreamed up and Mary Costa Photography captured for us today. It’s all about celebrating winter with an intimate gathering, and not only that, but looking to the year ahead. After styling a holiday tablescape, they headed to the forest for a couple’s shoot that would make the cutest lasting memories of the day.
More on the concept, from Shindig Chic… Winter is one of the most celebratory seasons and a time for endless get togethers, dinners, parties, and weddings too. When it came to styling our own holiday tablescape, we took our major inspiration from winter botanicals. There are so many gorgeous variations of pine and that’s what we wanted to celebrate… We partnered with West Elm LA to bring in the mid century aesthetic that we all love so much and played around with a pop of copper to create a warm metallic feel that played so well with the wood and pine elements
Pretty details styled by Samantha Dapper Event Design…
And a sweet little spice cake from Matchbox Kitchen to go along with M. Greenwood Jams.
We did a couple’s shoot (featuring our design duo Shindig Chic!) that made for holiday card magic. The Angeles Forest is such an amazing location just far enough from the city but close enough to make a wonderful day trip. The soft lighting, lush pines, and sculptural rocky mountains made for a dreamy backdrop. I wanted the bouquet and floral crown to look natural in our mountain setting and further show our love of pine.
A perfect day for sure. Thanks to everyone who teamed up to make it happen!
