Morning Cakies! Does anyone else get super wanderlust-y this time of year? This winter wedding editorial by Bruna of Simply Lace Photography leaves us wanting a little change in scenery. It was shot in Ontario where there was a super mild winter this year, but then this whole snow thing happened, and made everything that As You Wish Weddings dreamt up all the more magical.
The morning of the shoot, we awoke to an overcast day that quickly turned into blustering winds, rough waters, and at times, blizzard-like conditions. Though behind the camera the weather proved to be challenging, the end result was beautiful, with the bride’s jewel covered Rosa Clara dress from Clara from Something Green Bridal Boutique glistening against the fresh snowfall, and rows of striking taper candles lighting the exquisite sweets table.
Hot cocoa bar, check!
Our venue was the luxurious Serenity Cottage, a year-round exclusive waterfront retreat on the shores of Georgian Bay. Using the stunning rustic property as a back drop, we chose deep, moody colors of oxblood and black, which were complimented by lighter tones of peach, cream and natural greenery to create a dramatic, yet intimate, winter wedding setting.
Whoa. Did this scene stop you in your tracks (well, scroll)? Crumb & Berry really brought it!
You gotta see more, right? Here you go…
Kudos to the team below for successfully braving the storm to bring us these beautiful ideas!
