Taylor + Jasmin’s wedding style was a mix of contemporary, romantic + classic. So, essentially how the bride would describe her own style. (Which T was totally cool with.) They enlisted wedding pros like planner Marilyn Ambra Events, floral designer Studio Mondine, and Feather & Stone Photography, and trusted that they’d channel her vision too. Spoiler alert, the whole affair was as magical as it gets!

Jasmin explains, I just knew the moment we had our first site visit that Villa Montalvo in was “the” place based on my reaction to it. It literally took my breath away as we approached the grounds. It was a late Summer afternoon and everything around us was so green! I heard birds chirping and smelled the scent of fresh flowers. It really was a dream venue—I was speechless. Lastly, it was fate that we have our wedding there because there was coincidentally only one day available and it fell on a weekend that we had chosen as a potential wedding date… What are the odds?!

There were wildflowers and a lot of beautiful greenery in my bouquet and I’d asked Studio Mondine to have fun with it. I’m a true believer in that if you have the right team in place, magic happens when you put your trust them. I only asked that they add cappuccino roses, white clematis, and stick to the color scheme. Everything else was fair game.

J’s quite the DIY pro too. She made all the gold leafing on the programs and name tags, spray painted vintage books, created the seating chart, table numbers (from wine bottles, corks, and craft paper), and used her own crystal collection for the décor and cake (see below!).

Cute story: When Jasmin and Taylor took a few moments to themselves before dinner, they walked out onto the veranda to see all their friends and fam in this reception space, PLUS a family of deer on the lawn in front of the setting sun and surrounding greenery. (Told ya it was a magical day!)

J + T planned in five months while they both traveled a ton for work, so we have to believe them when they say to 1) Hire people you trust and let them handle it, 2) Don’t set up a Pinterest if you already have a clear vision (it just complicates things!), and 3) Planning in a shorter timeframe can help ensure everything truly reflects you + your partner, as you have to go with your gut.
Congrats you two!
