The other day we had a chance to pop over to David’s Bridal to chat with VP of Design Jose Solis about their upcoming collection. If you didn’t know, they’ve recently hooked up with some amazing designers *ahem, Jenny Packham…* for their Fall 2016 collection. We did a little Q&A with Jose while Jen of Fondly Forever captured some fave dresses in all their lace, satin, and hand-beaded glory! Take a peek:
We asked Jose some of the styles we can expect in the Fall 2016 line: 1) Nude lining – brides are all about nude layered under lace, 2) Ivory + champagne, along with other subtle shades that make the details of the dresses pop, and lastly? Ball gowns and dramatic skirts are back + more modern than ever!
*ALL* the pretty dresses, please.
They’ve teamed up with Jenny Packham, and for the new collection she really brought all of the details brides love most about her dresses together, like the crepe fabrics, flutter sleeves, and hand-beading. Did we mention the amazing price points? Dresses are priced at… Just wait for it… $900-$1450. Mhm!
You’ll also find Jenny Packham in bridesmaids (with a touch of rhinestones) and MOB (complete with beaded bodices). An all Jenny bridal party, perhaps? No complaints there!
Another designer we were pretty enamored with is Zac Posen. The more structured seaming and dramatic silhouettes are characteristic of the brand, but you can also expect to see more pairing of separate fabrics, combining matte and shine, and offering up an elegant contrast within the gown.
Okay, HAD to show you guys this limited edition high low White by Vera Wang dress. Wouldn’t it look spectacular on?
Remember all the dreamy Oleg Cassini dresses in the Spring 2016 collection? For fall, it’s all about that handwork and the tiniest details. Naturally we all perked up when we saw the pockets.
We also got to peruse Cheers by Cynthia Rowley, which is super fun and laidback and perfect for destination weddings, beachy weddings, and the rehearsal dinner too. There are also lots of options for ‘maids. It was great to hear how Cynthia puts her personality in each design. Each dress has a bit of sassiness to it, like flirty lengths + playful embellishments that are romantic with a bit of innocence. Totally fitting for lots of other occasions too, and she does have long dresses as well.
More dress details this way…
BTW, When shopping Fall 2016, be sure to check out David’s Bridal’s own collection too. We saw lots of the classic gowns that they’re known for, with modern updates to the bodice and beading.
A final word from Jose… It used to be that brides would go straight to find the dress, but now they find the venue first and then the dress rather than the other way around. This makes it easy for different brides to come in and get what they want according to their style. We make sure all our designers bring in something different than everyone else.
Thanks to VP of Design Jose Solis + David’s Bridal for this Fall 2016 sneak peek!
