It’s so hard not to get caught up in all the bridal fashion week amazingness that took over this last month. The #bridalfashionweek hashtag is 61k deep on insta, so we can’t be alone, right? To get more details about all the pretty dresses we’re seeing, we asked Rebekah Charles, owner of Lovely Bride LA, to share her favorite trends from Bridal Fashion Week. And naturally a few gowns to illustrate said trends too. Take it away, Rebekah…
Bridal market is basically a tulle filled dream come true. We get to spend 3 days ogling over stunning wedding gowns and deciding which beauties to bring back to our rad brides. We may be biased, but we have the coolest brides around who are looking for styles that are unique, feminine, hip but also timeless. This season we are seeing several trends that are leaving us excited.
Leanne Marshall: Lorelei Gown
Plunging necklines and low backs
Our brides are not afraid to embrace their sexy side. Daring low backs have been around for a few seasons and are still rocking it, but this season our designers added jaw-dropping deep v-necklines.
Anne Barge: Leyland Gown
Separates
The sweetest part of wearing a two piece wedding ensemble is that you can wear the pieces again! Imagine that killer lace top with jeans or a cute skirt for your day after brunch. A night out with your best gals? Pair that sexy crepe skirt with a chunky sweater or casual button up and look like a million bucks.
Willowby by Watters: Peyton Top, Annelise Skirt
Off the shoulder and lace sleeves
Instantly evoking romance and femininity, off the shoulder and lace sleeves elevate a simple silhouette to a timeless stunner.
Christos: Reina
Wtoo: Heaton
Ivy & Aster
Crepe and classic silhouettes
Sometimes, the drama is all about the shape. Last season, we started to see stunning crepe gowns taking center stage and this market, the craze continued.

Cut out detailing
For a modern but romantic look, we are seeing rad cut out detailing that elevates a typical wedding gown to the extraordinary. This Christos gown is a classic ball gown, but those cut-outs transform her into a modern, sexy masterpiece.
Christos: Penny and Tinsley
Illusion Necklines
Our brides love to look uber feminine while still looking sexy. An illusion neckline leaves a little to the imagination while still leaving the fiancé drooling.
