Did you get a chance to scroll through all the photos by The Wedding Artists Collective for their retreat, A Collective Gathering this morning? Rancho Pescadero resort is nothing short of a dream, and now we’re recapping the amazing time spent at this retreat put together by Lisa of The WAC and Jesse of Alison Events. Oh, and sharing some major wedding + honeymoon inspo too…
A few notes about the design by Alison Events: Del Cabo Event Design grounded the design with their custom farm tables and Bentwood wooden chairs. Color inspiration for the beautiful linens from La Tavola’s new linen collection and flowers by the talented Cabo San Lucus based Pina Designs was found in Mexican floral tattoo art. Jesse wanted the design to be bright and saturated in color, but also have areas of darkness and shadow to add distinctness and mood. Pina used black vases (to act as the black outline of the tattoo) and filled them with blooms so juicy they looked good enough to eat.
A Collective Gathering is a styled event hosted by The Wedding Artists Collective to give people a chance to relax and connect as people, not just fellow vendors, and act as a way for professionals to share knowledge and ideas in a low-key environment. They partner with a new team and new venues for each gathering. Read more from Lisa about the event below!
Lisa says, So far we’ve been generously hosted by Korakia Pension in Palm Springs, The Wythe Hotel in NY and most recently by Rancho Pescadero in Baja. Soon we’ll be heading up to Cedar Lakes Estate in NY. Collaborative partners have included Firefly Events, Enjoy Events, and Alison Events. For the next one coming up we’ll be working with Loli Events.
With Rancho Pescadero’s yoga, surfing, great food + space, it was perfect for their latest.
This is a true destination spot. There are some fun places to stop along the way but once you get to Rancho Pescadero you’re not going to want to leave. It’s perfect for people who appreciate the rustic beauty of Baja and simple and delicious ingredient-driven cuisine. This venue is perfect for couples who want to have a low-key, relaxed environment to host their family and friends for their wedding. The surf classes were a blast with a surf break close by that is perfect for beginners and skilled surfers alike. The yoga class was a great dose of relaxation and I think would be appreciated by wedding guests.
Mega color palette inspo here, and all over the gathering.
We also chatted with some of The WAC artists about their experience. Sasithon tells it, Spending a few days at Rancho Pescadero along with great company was nothing short of magical. It was the perfect getaway that had me feeling revived and inspired, ready to take on the rest of a busy wedding season!
Gary says, The Collective Gatherings are all about meeting new people and spending time with old friends. The best part of the this trip was that “destination/far-away” feeling that sort of allowed everyone come together and feel unencumbered by the usual daily routine. It made it possible to really make meaningful connections. (Or maybe it was the cocktails by the pool starting at noon…)Lastly, Eric says, The Collective Gathering at Rancho Pescadero was basically a two day cocktail and dinner party with some of the most creative people in the wedding industry. Everything was super well done, from the beautiful venue to the farm fresh food, to the gorgeous local flowers, it was top notch all around.
Thanks to The Wedding Artists Collective + Rancho Pescadero for this spectacular gathering! If you haven’t seen our post about the venue, be sure to check it out. Also, you can learn more about the venue at The Venue Report.
