Any couples out there not quite sure how to blend both your styles into the wedding design? A + E’s pink + navy color palette is the perf example: she loves coral and he loves navy, and they didn’t want one to overpower the other. Combined with their shared love of the California coast, they created a space that felt uniquely “them”. Thanks to Anna Delores Photography for the images!
Bouquet recipe: Coral charm peonies, silver dollar eucalyptus, kumquats, ranunculus, Juliet roses.
Andrew and I both grew up in small, SoCal beach towns and spend our weekends on the sand and in the water so we knew a fancy, hotel wedding would not feel like us. Casa Romantica, which is located just south of where I grew up, was that perfect mix of casual, coastal (yet refined) elegance that we were looking for. And to top it off, the immaculately cared for California native garden and endless ocean views reminded me of something my dad would have loved. He passed away when I was 25 and we were very close so being in a place that felt like him gave me the feeling he was there with us on our wedding day.
Vanessa Noel Events created this pretty escort backdrop with coral + fuchsia ribbon—a segue from the indoor cocktail party to the intimate courtyard dinner.Love hearing brides who gathered wedding inspiration via 100LC… I definitely utilized your real weddings section from beginning, middle, to the end of my planning! I was not the type that had my “dream wedding” in mind before we were engaged so we both had to do a lot of digging to determine what we wanted. It also really helped to use your website to show ideas to Andrew.
Easiest wedding decision? The cakes and cookies! Aren’t those surfboards cute?
Some final words from the bride for those of you struggling with the guest list… I had been pushing for something small with just our parents and siblings as I do not love being the center of attention. But I knew Andrew was right in that we would regret not having our friends and family be a part of our big day. We compromised by keeping our guest list small (91) and only including those who had been integral in helping us get to where we are today and those who we knew would help support us and our relationship for many years to come. Having that close-knit group stop everything they were doing and come from far and wide to surround and support us for our big moment was my favorite part of the wedding.
