Morning guys! A woodsy camp themed wedding seems like the perfect way to kick off the last week of September, don’t you think? Becca + Bobby didn’t have a theme or color palette in mind, they just wanted everything to emulate the surroundings at La Sonrisa in Glen Ellen, CA. Not surprisingly, they loved that Jenn Emerling made all the photos natural too…
In keeping with the natural vibe, they chose lots of greens, reds, and blues, and only used greenery that would be native to the area.

Becca says, The venue is an old summer camp in the middle of a redwood grove, so basically we just didn’t want to compete with the natural beauty of the area. We choose the playhouse space for the ceremony mainly due to the beauty and intimate feel of that area, although we knew we definitely did not want to stand on the stage. Rather, we stood on the ground in front. There were huge redwood trees all around that had a little window between the trees opening up to the sky right above where Bobby and I were standing. There is also a small creek running through so we had earth, sky and water elements surrounding us and our love ones. It just feels magical there.
FYI, they actually made that wreath they stood in front of for I Do. Super cool.
The venue definitely had plenty of space for their 250 guests.
After the ceremony, Bobby and I drove off in the Woodie to the end of the long private driveway and just hung out by ourselves for a few minutes looking out over a vineyard and had a glass of champagne together. It was truly the happiest moment of my life! As we were basking in the electricity of our joy, a soccer mom in a minivan and a few kids pulled up and said “Congratulations! Do you want me to take your picture?” It was really surreal because, like, she came out of nowhere! This road is a super secluded private road, it was super random. We both laughed and kindly said, “No! But thank you!” It was pretty funny and definitely brought us back to reality.
