With next week being November and all, we’re feeling very fall-ish around here. And who better to give off woodsy fall wedding vibes than a crew hailing from the PNW? This cozy forest shoot that Sarah of Hazelwood Photo sent our way was actually all inspired by the creative cake Elizabeth of Artisan Cake Company whipped up. Find it and more autumn wedding ideas below!
Elizabeth of Artisan Cake Company says, The well-dressed bearded man is not scarce in Portland so a lumberjack themed wedding seemed like a no-brainer. Some of my favorite vendors put their all into this one with me and made it so special.
Cute!
They created a gourmet s’mores station with Nineteen 27 S’mores for guests to enjoy. Yum.
The inspiration for this shoot actually came from a cake that I had made earlier in the year on a whim. It was a cake that had plaid on the inside and an axe on top and it was dubbed the “Lumberjack Cake”. The cake later went viral and I saw how people loved that lumberjack look all over the world, not just here in the PNW.
And lastly, the lovely Mint + Mirth shared the Bourbon cocktail they created for the celebration… Because who doesn’t want to warm up with a signature cocktail?
The Timber Cruiser
2 oz Burnside Bourbon by Eastside Distilling
3/4 oz Imbue Petal and Thorn vermouth
2 dashes hella bitters chili bitters
cherry (for garnish)
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass over ice. Stir well, then strain into a chilled glass. Garnish and enjoy!
