Fun fact about Kelly + Zane’s wedding planning process: They toured Riverbend in Lyons, CO with a group of other couples and a super tight timeframe of dates they could book. So during the tour they actually emailed the owner to book the space for the only available weekend in June. Talk about dedication! Thanks to June Photography for sharing their wedding with us today…

Kelly explains, We went for sort of a rustic elegance look, with vintage touches. Our colors were mainly pastels, blush pink and dove gray and other pastels, with lots of natural wood and greens, and occasional pops of deep red. I used a ton of lavender in our wedding as well, because I wanted to create a “scent memory,” where every time we smelled lavender we would remember our wedding. We have a dream (which we are actually in the process of making happen) of moving to the country and leading a simpler life, growing fruit trees and vegetables and raising bees and chickens, so our wedding was focused on being rustic, beautiful, and natural.
Kelly was a major DIY bride: These lavender toss cones were made from paper from the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in a vintage drawer she revamped.

Just after the ceremony, the two of us sat down at a table away from everything and just relaxed for a few minutes with a cocktail and appetizers. Everything was going by so quickly that it was nice to have a brief moment just to relax and enjoy having just been married.
