Boho brides, you’ll want to pin every one of these images from Alixann Loosle Photography. She recently hooked up with Michelle Leo Events for a ‘desert oasis’ bridal shower shoot complete with bohemian lounge decor and the raddest copper tablescape to ever adorn Red Butte Garden in Utah. We’d soo love to see one of our brides celebrate with her best pals over a brunch like this!
They served up melon mint sangria, orange blossom + mint lemonade, and spring floral ice cubes.
The desert oasis theme was inspired by both Morocco and the Mediterranean and the colors and textures found there.
Aren’t these centerpieces pure bohemian goodness? Urban Chateau was behind all the florals.
They also featured the works of art that are Cuisine Unlimited‘s dishes. Learn more about the menu below…
Michelle says, The low, white-wash table surrounded by various rugs and pillows created the perfect intimate setting. The tabletop decor featured copper flatware, chargers, and “glassware,” along with a navy linen napkin and terracotta-inspired bowls with an intricate blue design on the inside. We finished off the look with a handmade macramé table runner, fresh, colorful blooms, and mini cacti as a favor.
A few notes from Derek Deitsch + Chef Steve Ulibarri of Cuisine Unlimited… In developing the brunch menu, we tried to incorporate influence from both the bohemian-desert as well as the natural setting of Red Butte Garden. The flavors were the primary consideration in determining the Moroccan-Mediterranean menu, evident in items such as the hummus and chermoula shrimp. We introduced a bit of fusion from other cuisines in the menu by incorporating Mediterranean herbs to the spreads for the cucumber and salmon rolls. The items naturally have very earthy colors, which play very well to the venue. Flavor and visual interest were added through the pomegranate seeds atop the hummus and beet-pickled jicama in the vegetable crudite. Pops of deep color were also added through various preparation methods and garnishes. The beverages used light but interesting flavors so as not to overpower the menu.
