OK guys, are you ready to kick off the first weekend in April with a *major* does of color? The team at Alison Events just sent over a welcome Sangeet—a pre-wedding celebration with music, dancing, and food—they dreamt up for Mahncy + Anish at Solage in Napa Valley. Tons of inspiration for any of you planning a colorful wedding or Sangeet yourself. Thanks to Meg Smith for sharing the photos!
Mahncy says, We wanted our Sangeet to encapsulate the lively hustle + bustle and excitement that comes along with the evening. Everyone had spent so much time preparing the dances they were about to perform and we wanted to capture that energy. As we thought through how the decor could create that vibe, we kept coming back to the idea of a marketplace and we used that as our inspiration—fruits + spices strewn across the table, food stations scattered across the lawn, seating lounges.
Looks like such a fun and fresh space!
The bride wanted the event to feel colorful, bright and modern while having a bit of Indian flare, but not feeling traditional in the least. Natalie + her team infused color in the room with brightly patterned ribbons in the hanging floral arrangements, and the custom fabric draping around the room. Found Vintage Rentals brought an authentic warmth and lots of texture in the beautiful antique velvet upholstered furniture and their distinct weathered leather and wooden pieces.
Their fave moments were watching their fam + close friends perform all the dances they’d been preparing for them.
So pretty! See more photos from this rehearsal dinner in our gallery:
Congratulations, M + A!
