Happy Tuesday, Cakies! This botanical, greenery inspired fête comes to us all the way from Austria, where party pro Karin of Jubeltage recently threw a 40th birthday bash for her husband Günter. Considering his love of plants and nature, a greenery theme was a no brainer—but she wanted to make sure to keep it fresh, modern, and guy-friendly of course. Thanks to Caterina Hoffmann for sharing these bright photos!

Isn’t their venue, Nykke, super neat? All the greenery covered walls, please.

Karin enlisted Mademoiselle Fée to execute her vision with the styling + decor…

Karin tells it, Moss, succulents and monstera leaves provided different shades of green. Together with different natural materials like birch and hemp rope the atmosphere of a plant nursery was created. Covered by a glass dome and arranged in a bed of moss, the succulents gave the impression of a greenhouse. Golden cutlery and timeless modern white plates made from high-quality china were the basis of the table. The delicate snail shells and stones decorated with leaves were placed on the wooden table and contrasted with the elegant gold candleholders.

They decked out the dessert table with a modern birthday cake and a “cupcake garden” featuring some incredibly realistic (and tasty!) cactus cupcakes.

Günter even planted some of the arrangements himself to give as favors for guests.

Their biggest goal for this special party? That each of their 60+ guests love greenery as much as he does. Mission accomplished! Happy birthday, G!
