Nothing like a wedding in Maui to start our Tuesdays off right, huh? Can + Bethany have been together for 11 years, and actually said I Do 5 years ago at city hall. Since they never had a wedding when they first tied the knot, they gave themselves plenty of time to plan their vow renewal with Elements Luxury Events. The result? A French-inspired fairytale shot by Dmitri & Sandra with just over 60 of their closest friends and fam.
Bethany wanted everyone to feel instantly transported into another world when they entered the space. She saw Haiku Mill in a magazine and even though they looked at other venues when visiting, this was the spot for them. Think you’ll see why below…
Her Olia Zavozina dress from Kinsley James Couture Bridal helped them decide on an overall mood and style for the wedding. Bethany tells it, Because we had such a long time to plan with the coordinators we were able to go through the motions of what we actually wanted. The main hurdle for me, was what I wanted the wedding to look like. I knew I wanted a wow-factor and I wanted people to feel like they were in a dream. But it was hard to figure out what that meant. I originally, even before we started planning, wanted A Midsummer Night’s Dream theme. It all changed as soon as I got the dress. For me the dress really set the mood of the wedding.
So cute!
Pretty cocktails by Garnish Cocktails, check.
The team channeled all the fairytale romance with blush tones, but kept it elegant with gold decor and bronze chairs. Then they complemented it with ivory for a little touch of the traditional.
Bethany’s bouquet had garden roses, ranunculus, spray roses, and textured greens.
