Modern, yet full of details. Not overwhelmingly seasonal yet totally fitting. Urban yet attainable outside the city. This shoot by Hannah Q. Photography + Kate of Blue Door Creative packs in all that and more, all in the fresh DTLA studio space that is H.Q. Avalon Studios. See how it all came together:
Narine of Sweet + Crafty was behind this lovely invitation suite, if you’re wondering.
Didn’t Hannah do just the most breathtaking job of capturing the light throughout this shoot? Siiiiigh!
They wanted to make sure to focus on a neutral color palette with pops of green, so they could make the gowns + veils by Sylvene of Vene Ai Studios really pop.
A few words about their inspiration… This photo shoot emphasizes and highlights the beauty of interracial relationships which we felt were often underrepresented in the wedding industry. To create the story of finding love in a big city, we photographed the wedding at a complex studio in downtown Los Angeles. We mixed traditional elements reflective of art deco’s past combined with modern styling.
