Cakies, did you catch this morning’s tiki bridal shower tips (and cocktail recipes)? We’re obvi in a celebratory mood over here, especially since Kelly Oshiro sent over her recent Principles of Styling Workshop (remember the last one?) captured by Leo Patrone Photography. It’s a lifestyle editorial inspired by the preppy barn at Hammersky Vineyards with some wedding inspo too. Take a peek!
Kelly says, I picked a blue and white striped linen as the jumping off point for my table. For the model I chose an off the shoulder white blouse and cute navy blue sailor shorts paired with modernist jewelry from VLM Jewelry. For the table, I wanted to showcase a classic summer BBQ. I made mini corn muffins with honey, classic corn on the cob, pork sliders and a farmers market salad. And place settings featured the sleek Spartan plates and classic bone flatware from The Ark.
These yellows are srsly making our Fridays over here…
The Principles of Styling workshop is mixture of lecture and hands-on learning. In the morning I gave a lecture on The Principles of Styling and talked about how to style detail shots as well as producing full editorials. Then photographers put into practice what they learned at the “styling stations.” Finally, there were two sample editorials for photographers to capture.
So neat to see Kelly Oshiro‘s take on lifestyle inspiration. Stay tuned for her next workshop in the fall.
