Destination elopements are popular at the moment and it’s no surprise why: what beats kissing real life goodbye for a bit to explore some brand new scenery with your fave person in the world, and maybe even getting hitched along the way? Photogs Anna + Mateo and planner Mil Bes os Costa Rica somehow managed to make the whole tropical elopement concept even more amazing, with local details, dreamy wedding style, and the stunning beach venue that is Sueno Del Mar.
Flores de Campos whipped up the most gorgeous tropical florals for the occasion.Costa Rica is a gorgeous location for an intimate wedding or elopement—so full of culture, nature, and beautiful scenery, and this shoot shows off some beautiful elements of a Costa Rican wedding! We tried to keep everything as local as possible, with the fabulous Mil Besos Costa Rica a bringing in the best local talent! Our beach-and-boho-inspired gown was designed custom by Elky Suarez, and the tables and chairs were handmade by Los Primos Designs using local wood.
Isn’t this braid by Nadia Tamara the loveliest along with a headpiece by Lindsay Marie Design?
The mandala was the central component, and many of the details (the one-of-a-kind Susie Saltzman ring, cake design, etc.) mimicked it. The florals were all native to Costa Rica and looked incredible juxtaposed against the green palm leaves everywhere.
Can’t forget portraits on the lava rocks… See more from this beach elopement in our gallery::
