They really went all out—like 160 person guest list, beachfront ceremony, Hawaiian and Jewish traditions, major boho decor, dancing under the stars all out. Jill hooked up with the team at Bespoke Destination Events and they fit all their big wedding ideas (20′ teepee bar included) into one completely custom celebration at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort… Deets below!

Pro tip for all you destination brides: shipping to Hawaii can be difficult and expensive, especially if you’re on the hunt for custom items from international shops. Since Jill couldn’t find the 20′ teepee she envisioned for their bar (so neat, right?), the team at Bespoke Destination Events worked with a team to make it themselves. Definitely a Maui first!

Just a few of the custom deets Jill + the team incorporated into the day…
• 160 custom leather luggage tag escort card favors with mini dreamcatchers
• Dreamcatcher wall with terrariums that held appetizers during cocktail hour + candles at night
• Photos of parents’ and grandparents’ weddings were clothes-pinned to a rope frame
• Glass cloches for flowers on tables, drift wood, and rose gold candle holders
• 160 custom, die-cut, banana leaf-shaped dinner menus

Tables were also adorned with Juliet + other dusty roses and coral, ivory, and sage florals by Mandy Grace Designs.

Did we mention it rained *right* before the ceremony? Jill tells it, We had a rainstorm come through on our big day (after everything outdoors had already been set up)—but luckily it passed after an hour. The entire Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort hotel staff and our amazing wedding planners all came together to dry and then steam 160+ chair cushions, 40+ table linens, hide floral arrangements and other decor under tables, and hide our bands’ equipment in the beach shack, and we were so luckily still able to hold the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner reception outdoors, and then moved indoors for our after party. It was truly a day we will never forget and we are so grateful to everyone who made it possible!
