First of all, can we just say that starting Monday off with Tracy + Mark’s Tulum wedding totally put us in an amazing mood for the week ahead? She’s an interior designer and he’s in finance, and they had the most fun group of 60 guests travel to Mexico to celebrate with them. Destination Weddings Tulum brought it all together at the fabulous NEST Tulum, with Jasmine of Let’s Frolic Together behind the lens.
NEST Tulum looks like *the* place to kick back and relax, if we do say so ourselves.Tracy tells it, The best way to describe our wedding style and theme is simple, it was the perfect mix of us and everything we love. Natural simplicity, beautiful beaches, tropical foliage, modern and minimalistic. Mark and I LOVE to travel and experience new places together. We often wish that our friends and family could travel with us, so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate life together and give them a little push to venture to new and unfamiliar places. We decided to pick a destination we haven’t been, but have always wanted to visit. A place that was obtainable for our friends and family, and somewhere they would enjoy as well. I must say it was a success!
Tracy wore the most gorgeous Rue De Seine gown from The Dress Theory + her ‘maids donned white dresses from Free People + Nordstrom.
Mark and I did not plan on a first look, it wasn’t until an hour before we walked down the aisle that Jasmine, our photographer had asked if we wanted to do it. And we said let’s do it! I get butterflies at the thought of all the feelings that ran through my body that day. The entire day was memorable, but that exact moment will forever give me butterflies.
Given that not all the same blooms are available in Tulum as here in California, Tracy just requested white, soft florals, and lots and lots of greenery. Done and done!
The crew actually kicked off the wedding day with morning yoga on the beach, and from there it was walking barefoot down the aisle, tequila drinking, hammock-swinging, dining under the palms at ARCA, and dancing the night away.
These sweet maracas were their wedding favors. Fun!
On choosing a photographer… I knew of Jasmine from mutual friends and had seen her work since we live in the same city. It wasn’t until we actually sat down with her to chat about our special day that we knew we didn’t want to look any further. If you met our photographer, you would choose her too! Besides having an amazing eye, she is just a burst of great energy! Mark and I fell in love with her and the photos came second… PS: Mark and I love to dance, and you better believe she was out there on the dance floor with us capturing us in our element.
Okay, does a wedding in Tulum seem like the most fun or what?! Congrats, Tracy + Mark!
