If there’s anything that truly encapsulates both the feeling of Christmas and the feeling of gathering all your closest friends + fam for I Do, it’s gotta be this snowy Hudson Valley shoot guide member Alicia King Photography sent our way. She, Monica Relyea Events and their team put this winter wedding together in 35 degree weather (us CA residents can hardly believe our eyes!) after a night of snow. And can we just say that they quite srsly spared no detail when it came to bringing this scene to life:
What a tablescape! The team pulled in pieces from North Country Vintage Rentals and Rhinebeck Rentals to bring the cozy indoors out.
And did we mention that the night before the shoot it snowed eight inches?!
Monica Relyea Events created this escort card display with a mannequin that they adorned with tea-stained escort cards in gold calligraphy.Monica says, Cutting your own Christmas tree is a big Hudson Valley attraction and we are so fortunate to have one of the country’s oldest tree farms in our backyard. Battenfeld’s Christmas Tree Farm, a family run business, has been providing fresh cut trees since 1956… Tailgating and horse drawn rides are a must when cutting down your tree! A 1940 Studebaker truck made the perfect tailgate and Coppola Creative made the perfect chalkboard wedding timeline to add to the styling. Fur pillows, skis, sleds and blankets made it feel like you could hang out all afternoon.
This woodsy, rustic chalkboard sign by Coppola Creative outlined the day’s festivities, which look pretty spectacular, if you ask us!
Farm tables were set with bone china, brought in by Rhinebeck Rentals, and fashioned down a balsam tree aisle. We then filled in with the finest wares from North Country Vintage Rentals, vintage silver flatware along with crystal glass in gem colors. Mixed wooden chairs adorned with plaid blankets and quilts to keep the guests warm. Endless evergreen and eucalyptus roping ran down the center of the table over a linen runner and brass candlesticks with cream candles added that extra layer of metal. Overhead, beautiful Edison bistro lighting, done by Clifton Park Rental, gave us a warm glow from above.
Such a feat to pull off, but so, so worth it, right? Congrats to the team below on such a cozy, gorgeous Christmas wedding:
