Guys. We know it’s right before Christmas ‘n all, and you’ve probably all but tuned out of holiday inspiration at this point, but you must, MUST take a peek at Danielle and Christopher’s December wedding at Terrain before signing off. We wouldn’t be so dramatic if it wasn’t worth it, promise! Emily Wren sent over these images of their day, and we just had to squeeze it in. Given how flawlessly coordinated it all is, thanks to their creative vision and the help of Confetti & Co, you’d never guess that these two never *really* landed on a theme. They simply wanted it to feel like the big Italian Christmas dinners they love. What followed was a bright, festive, hot pink and holiday theme (yep, totally works!), a surprise snow storm, and the twinkling celebration of our dreams…
Christmas peonies, yes please!
At first, our bride was 100% for eloping. But Chris was all about sharing their day with friends and fam (especially those they don’t get to see too often). He told her he wanted the chance to show everyone how much he loves her, and that pretty much sealed the deal! So sweet.
Totally want these J. Crew tartan heels for ourselves. Can we get ’em in time for the weekend?!
Danielle wanted to get married at a Christmas tree farm, and the space at Terrain is just about as close as you can get, while having all the perks of a traditional venue.
Emily of Emily Wren Photography says, Terrain felt like the perfect place for snowy wedding pictures with their tree farm and sled tableaux! Inside, it was warm. Peppermint pink blooms from Sebesta Design popped against the altar of conifers and ferns. Bridesmaids in beaded blush. Groomsmen in well-coordinated shades of gray. Endless strands of lights to set the ceremony sparkling as the couple was married by their dear friend! Then, as husband and wife, Danielle and Christopher treated their guests to a spectacular, festive reception.
Prettiest lil’ ceremony spot we ever did see.
And afterward, Emily snuck these two out for a quiet portrait sesh beneath Terrain’s Indian wedding temple.
With expert help from Confetti & Co.’s Sara Murray, the venue was transformed—trees decorated with custom ornaments featuring photos of the happy couple, mini ice cream sandwiches in seasonal flavors, marshmallow chandeliers floating above a hot chocolate bar, the cheerfully lit Tiny Tin photo booth, and “It’s a Wonderful Life” projected onto one of the venue walls! There were even holiday movie-themed cocktails to enjoy, “Zsuzsu’s Petals” with its candy cane garnish and the “Mule Shoot Your Eye Out!” in glistening copper mugs!
Aren’t these ornament place settings holiday perfection? Love your Christmas spirit, guys!
We mean… The. Dream.
Sara created a marshmallow chandelier to hang over the hot coca bar. Too creative!

As much as the snow was an insanely beautiful surprise, it definitely caused a few hiccups on the wedding day. Everything was delayed, from their band to their guests to D + C themselves, but it all worked out. Danielle says, My advice is to ask for help! I had very little interest in planning (I wanted to elope) so I was very fortunate to have my mother and my sister in law to be a big part of the planning process. I ended up hiring a wedding planner back in June for additional and she was a godsend. If only to help me keep track of my belongings on my wedding day, or getting me snow boots to trudge through the snow, she was worth every penny. If the budget doesn’t allow for that, get help. I had people offering all the time but it felt weird to actually ask them. Trust me when I say they wouldn’t offer if they didn’t want to help. It is a lot to do on your own!
Congrats, you two, and Merry Christmas everyone!
