The more we scroll through these photos Corey Lynn Tucker Photography and Pearl Weddings & Events sent our way, the more we fall in love with the idea of a B&B elopement. It all took place at Hudson Valley Rose Bed and Breakfast, a cozy spot in an area known for its farm-to-table culture and passion for local and sustainable offerings. The best part? Just ‘cause it’s warm and intimate doesn’t mean these two sacrificed style—actually, it might just be one of the chicest elopements we’ve see in awhile!
BTW, they’ve got some pretty amazing advice for all you newly-engageds, too. Keep reading to see!
The Hudson Valley is a beautiful region north of New York City dotted with woodlands, lakes, mountains, farmlands, orchards and scenic state parks. Within an hour or two of driving, the concrete jungle of Manhattan quickly transforms into a picturesque rural landscape filled with historic barns and old houses such as the Hudson Valley Rose Bed and Breakfast (coincidentally the former estate of fashion and furnishings designer Laura Ashley and celebrity makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin).
Are you dying over this Dany Mizrachi s/s 2018 bridal jumpsuit (and the veil they paired with it)!?
And their groom’s rad printed suit came from Zara. So super on board with the idea of taking some risks and coming up with an AMAZING ensemble when it comes to an elopement!
Intimate weddings and destination elopements are becoming the new trend in the wedding industry. Brides may lean towards an intimate wedding or elopement because they do not have the time, money or want to plan a huge wedding with 200 or more guests. Neither wedding style is right or wrong, it is all based purely on personal preference.
When couples are deciding on where to elope or have an intimate wedding, many lean towards a bed & breakfast like the Hudson Valley Rose in New York. It is a small family-owned property that provides your guests with comfort making them feel like they are right at home.
The crew also included a few tips for creating a stylish, sustainable celebration, like incorporating plantable wedding invitations and linen napkins into your wedding design. Elements like this make a beautiful and thoughtful statement while reducing waste.
