If you’re on the hunt for spring brunch inspo (or even bridal shower ideas), allow this pretty luncheon coming to us from Royale of But First, Party (who you know by now if you’re a Cakelet reader) to get the creative juices flowing. Celebrating a new collab between Scandinavian fashion labels Anine Bing and Gina Tricot, this fete at Anine’s own Los Feliz home gave their Scandinavian guests a taste of all LA has to offer, from a menu by Haute Chefs LA to earthy, feminine florals by Of The Flowers.
Thanks to Billye Donya for the photos below!
Given how cozy + intimate this soirée turned out to be, you’d never believe they’d originally planned for an outdoor lunch! Surprisingly enough, their LA event was rained out, but Anine’s Los Feliz home was ready to welcome guests regardless.
Royale explains, I really tried to keep both aesthetics, California cool meets Scandi minimalist, in mind and used the pieces from the collaboration to inform the palette for everything from the florals to the tabletop and cocktails. The great thing about Anine’s design aesthetic is that it is modern and edgy but also quite feminine, which is so fun to translate into a party and tablescape. Anine is the best kind of hostess too, and always wants to create experiences for her guests that are memorable, at this lunch, we had a crystal energy reader and a piercer!
Of The Flowers painted fronds and dried florals to create texture and depth in these warm pink arrangements.
Shortbread cookies with baked-in flowers by Lori Stern, so cute!
Florist Felissa says, Metallic and copper elements brought a modern edge to the colorful arrangements. The centerpieces were designed in an airy and sculptural way where the negative space in the design created as much interest as the florals selected. The look is modern, fresh, fun and artful.
As for the food, Haute Chefs created a California-inspired menu featuring family-style dishes like a sprouted barley grain bowl with, roasted vegetables, avocado, leeks, dukka, 6 minute egg, wilted farm greens, and flowering herbs. Yuuuum!
Oh, how we love food that’s almost too pretty to eat.
There’s those crystal energy readings Royale pointed out before… So neat for guests.
