Happy Monday, all! We know so many of you are planning weddings for the fall and winter, so Maddie + Josh’s day as captured by Feather and Twine with design from Wild Sky Events, is bound to be inspiring. They chose Canyonwood Ridge in Texas as their venue, and decked it out with lots of natural, jewel tone decor and colors.
As far as bridesmaids, Maddie suggested a color for each of her gals, and they chose the one that worked best for them. Clearly, it all worked out!
Maddie explains, We decided we would take advantage of the winter weather and chose a theme with deep, moody colors such as cranberry and deep wine, accentuated with copper and lush, wild greenery. We liked the idea of a moody, wild and industrial look. We wanted to incorporate the industrial look through the use of the dark wooden farm tables, hanging pendent lights, black plates, and pops of copper and brass with the copper cutlery and brass terrariums.
Bouquets featured protea, roses, peonies, hellebores, ranunculus, explosion grass, privet berry, and ferns with trailing silk ribbons.
We knew we wanted our ceremony, cocktail and reception to be all in one place so it was convenient for guests and we could really maximize our time. It had a beautiful big chapel area with a lovely glass windows that looked out onto the Texas Hill Country (also no need to worry about inclement weather), there was a gorgeous outdoor area that we used for cocktail hour, and a beautiful reception area with wooden beans and hanging lights. It had that industrial-chic feel that I absolutely love. I was hooked on this idea of hanging greenery from industrial lights, this venue had the hanging lights, so it pretty much sold it to me.
On their wedding photographer… Kelsey and Talon are a husband and wife duo and their pictures are absolutely stunning. In every picture the lighting and colors were moving and beautiful. I loved their eye for detail and the way they captured each moment of the wedding from the first look down to the very slightest detail. What I loved most were the moments they captured. It was all natural and organic—there was minimal staging (no more than needed). They captured real life moments and emotions as they happen, and those are always the moments and pictures that I think we cherish the most.

Isn’t this the best way to come up with an escort card display? So fun + pretty.
And how sweet are these dip-dyed table runners?
