Hello, hello! Where are all our Wes Anderson fans? Molly Kate Photography and Liza Bourkard of Studio DBI sent this wedding editorial over, as inspired by the San Francsico Mint. The bold colors and ‘timeless whimsy’ paved the way for a quirky, fun wedding full of details and creativity:
Stephanie and John, an actual engaged couple, modeled for the shoot because they fit the vintage and quirky style perfectly. Stephanie designed the paper goods, and made up quirky names for the invitations: Delilah Doonsbury and Percy Pennyman. Liza was brilliant in collecting the amazing vendors, including unique additions like a traveling barber and a bartender who makes artisan craft cocktails.
Yep, already enamored with this venue over here!
And the furniture pieces by Found Vintage Rentals are just too good.
The sweetest surprise was the croquembouche that towered over the 2-tiered cake. The long “sweetheart” table was decorated with beautiful springy blooms, as well as the expected antlers, ostrich eggs, and tiny trinkets, along a yellow table runner that trickled down to the floor at either end. Both the photographer and videographer found inspiration from Wes Anderson’s cinematography and kept the visual compositions full of straight lines, purposefully centered or off-centered subjects, and fun wide frames. The entire shoot was molded together by three women who adore working on new and bold ideas with wedding clients.
Best. Sweetheart Table. Ever.
