WHAT A WEEK, you guys! First, we started off with the ever gorg Kaley Cuoco’s wedding, then we made a major announcement (hint: it has to do with paper party pretties designed by yours truly!!), and now we’ve got an *all pink* bridal editorial that is totally going to make your day. (And that’s really only half of it, be sure to scroll through the homepage for everything we shared this week.) Thanks to Cavin Elizabeth Photography and for Native Poppy sending all this pink bridal goodness our way!
Oh! Four Things Paper, you’re so good. This big, loopy calligraphy in blush is too flirty and fun.
Cavin explains, Inspired by my love for a sophisticated pink palette, this editorial that I created was designed for the modern and chic bride who loves just a bit of wild-textured florals paired with beautifully clean and soft lines. I knew that I wanted to infuse pink into the shoot via the backdrop to inspire brides to choose either a venue with pink walls or tables covered in pink linens. With many editorials, it can be hard for brides to envision what the colors would look like if mixed a different way, so I wanted to provide them with a less literal translation of an inspiration shoot so that they have the freedom to explore the many ways you can pair colors and textures within the same palette.
If you like a white table setting, it’ll be sure to pop against a colored table or linens. The whole concept for the shoot was intended to show couples the possibilities of working with one color in a few different ways. When you have something like a simple, beautiful marble plate, you can play up the surrounding elements in so many different styles!
Our bride, dressed in a fabulously elegant yet bold Marchesa gown, wore her hair in a unique updo created by XO Beauty Company that would have both fans of classic and modern styles in awe. Her fresh and flirty makeup perfectly suited her pink accessories and her soft bouquet full of incredible blooms. To add in a touch of wild, Native Poppy created a set of stunning and organic greenery-based arrangements. For brides who want to include a lot of color in their rentals or venue, greenery-heavy arrangements provide a perfect balance in the palette to keep the design from looking overly colorful. Plus, the texture lends a fun touch to the feminine and sophisticated pairing of marbles and pinks.
Such lovely spring blooms, yes?
Thanks so much to Cavin Elizabeth Photography for not just the beautiful inspo, but all of her tips for our brides-to-be!
