Happy Monday, Cakies! Have you all noticed how rust + blush is one of the hottest wedding color palettes as of late? All this week we’ll be showing you different creative ways to pull off a wedding in these trendy hues, starting with these modern wedding ideas Spreading Lovely dreamt up at Tyge William Cellars in Sonoma. Their take on the trend, using tamarind + pink, gives this bold color story a more organic, minimalist design. Thanks to Cassie Valente for the beautiful photos below!
A simple flower-topped wedding cake will forever be a fave of ours. This one is by Just Delightful Cakery.
The inspiration behind our editorial came from the luxurious velvet tamarind linen. We envisioned the modern couple who is willing to go outside of the box and be daring by selecting an eye-catching color, but who also appreciates beauty in the details. The tablescape design was kept modern with white dipped flatware, ceramic plates, white wishbone minimalist chairs and unique vellum menus, tied off with a small piece of faux pink toned leather. The florals fully embraced the abundance of springtime in floral variety and color variation. Light pink was thoughtfully paired with the tamarind color throughout to enhance details from our place cards, ceremony floral and down to our bride’s shoe choice.
We can see this tablescape in a wedding anywhere from early spring to fall. The tamarind color is so unique, yet really lends itself to lots of different interpretations.
Not to mention, the place settings offer up the perfect pop of pink for all you looking to us blush in a new, exciting way.
Our modern bride selected a modern low cut Sarah Seven dress, with beautiful lace bodice detailing and our groom looked sharp in a navy tux with a black fashion-forward lapel from The Black Tux. We have found beauty in simplicity and abundance in florals, and wanted to demonstrate to couples that even in simplicity, you can maintain detailed personalization and cohesion from the clear minimalist brides earrings to the eye-catching bar cart down to your invitation choices. We hope our editorial can inspire couples to make color selections off the beaten path, and not be afraid to simplify aesthetically, while still maintaining massive amounts of personalization.
Yellow is another majorly trendy wedding color right now and we loooove it with rust + blush! Laura’s Floras‘ bouquets are just magic.
