Happy almost weekend, friends! Did you catch yesterday’s sweet boho beach vow renewal? The crew at Rock & Stone Weddings is back with another unique wedding design, this time for those with a romantic, urban vibe in mind to match a more industrial venue like Seattle’s Sole Repair Shop. There’s also two gorgeous bridal looks for our female couples that both fancy a wedding gown. Read on for more deets, as captured by Elizabeth Zuluaga…
Amber of Rock & Stone Weddings tells it, It is really important to me that I feature underrepresented minorities in my shoots. I never want any couple looking at my site to wonder if I am supportive of their relationship. I passionately believe love is love and wanted to do a styled shoot to showcase that. Often times, shoots with two brides will conform to a stereotype of having one bride in a suit, but I know numerous couples who don’t conform to this idea and wonder how two dresses will look. I wanted to show that you can go shopping together, love the same designer, pick similar styles and still bring your own personality to the look. They both wore Rue de Seine gowns but one of our models went for a more boho vibe with loose waves and a flower crown, while the other went for more edgy style that complimented her striking hair color.
This peach wedding cake design by Sift & Gather is an instant fave!
This Seattle venue, Sole Repair Shop, is perfect for those looking for a black canvas to work their magic. Brier & Ivy dreamt up the wild, organic ceremony backdrop filled with greenery and accented with airplants.
I chose lots of organic materials and textures to really bring the concept to life. I dyed the linen napkins from West Elm with avocado stones to give them a soft and earthy blush hue and Holly from Sablewood Paper Co incorporated lots of different textures into the stationery and paper goods, using fabrics and wood to bring the vision to life. The ceramics from St Cao Ceramics added another dimension to the table and I loved the complexity of the different layers and materials and the undone relaxed feel of the tablescape.
Prettiest blush taper candles with those hand-dyed napkins… Swoon.
Li Sun Goh gave their two brides natural, slightly smoky makeup looks and hairstyles that complemented each gown. Our aim was to create something feminine, but not girly—a shoot that embodied the wildness of Pacific Northwest but also had that alternative Seattle city vibe. Relaxed, down to earth, ethical and all inclusive. It was an amazing team of vendors and such a fun day!
Safe to say the talented team below totally pulled it off. Happy weekending, all!
