There are so many lovely, unexpected wedding ideas in this editorial White Rabbit Studios and Old Frond Floral Co. sent our way, where do we begin? This modern black and white cake is a good start. There’s also the soft, cheerful pairing of blush + yellow. And the arrangements dominated by daffodils of every variety and shade. We haven’t even mentioned the fashion (or the grapefruit cocktail), so you might as well just start scrolling…
Anna of Old Frond Floral Co. says, For flowers, I wanted to focus heavily on one of my favorite flowers—narcissus/daffodils—and order in tons of different varieties of it. They are just the happiest little flowers. Instead of experimenting with different flowers brought together, I wanted to try using lots of different varieties of the SAME flower so I just found every variety of daffodil I could and combined them all. I used a few other textures to give it some contrast and VOILA—an ode to daffodil.
Aren’t these invites by Wells Makery so unique?
I really wanted to do an industrial, modern spring elopement shoot led by an all-female, inclusive team of vendors. We had a cast of beautiful bridesmaids to accompany our couple as well! Our bride’s cape/pant combo is such a chic bridal look, and my favorite details include the floral installation and the signature grapefruit honey cocktail.
So many striking ideas for bridal hair, too. This particular daffodil-adorned updo is by Brandi Cox.
Love seeing how different bridesmaid looks all come together in the end, don’t you? These ensembles came from Elitaire Boutique in Huntsville, Alabama.
Cocktail time! Here’s what you need for the grapefruit honey cocktail…
2 ounces fresh ruby red grapefruit juice (1 grapefruit yields 6 to 8 ounces of juice)
1 ½ ounces vodka (or gin)
½ small lemon, juiced
¼ to ½ ounce honey simple syrup (make a batch with ¼ c. water + ¼ c. honey)
tiny dash of sea salt (trust me)
It’s easy to overlook classic garden blooms like daffodils, but this shoot proves just how modern and fresh they can be. Find more blush + yellow wedding ideas by clicking the gallery link below:
