Morning, all! We’re so excited to share this stunning modern floral wedding editorial coming to us from photog Emily Wren and Corrine of Sebesta Design, who decked out an entire greenhouse with hanging florals, pink + black wedding decor, and a trio of gorgeous cakes. It’s pretty spectacular!

Corinne of Sebesta Design explains, We were so excited to be asked by Constellation Catering to be part of a bespoke bridal event called Love is in the Air at the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center. Wanting to show a potential bride our complete vision we decided to turn it into an inspiration shoot so that like a real wedding, you could see the design both during the day and at night.
Ultimately, I wanted to design something that was fun, flirty and bold allowing our guests to feel immersed in color, modern texture and sophisticated details. To start with I really gravitated towards a base of black and gold and since the space itself is neutral with lots lush greenery I thought the best way to make the design stand out was to pair it with rich jewel tones. The jewel tones kept the florals from blending in with the greenhouse background and really jumped off of the deep richness of the black giving it such a sophisticated, modern feel.
Corrine was inspired by artist Rebecca Louise Law, who is known for her hanging floral installations in museums around the world. Working within the space at the Horticulture Center, she created installations of both lush florals and more airy overhead displays.
Such a beautiful Limor Rosen gown from Lovely Bride.
Being at a greenhouse has so many design advantages. For one the light in the space is just amazing. And their ceiling supports just scream for hanging pieces. Given that organic hanging, installations have been done a million times over, I wanted to come up with something new that would not only be fresh but could also be lush and modern at the same time.
While I wanted to go heavy on the hanging elements, we didn’t want people to feel cramped and crowded in the space. Because of this, we focused the lusher hanging structures over the sweetheart table, photo backdrop, cake, and coffee displays. The center of the space was kept light with sweeping metallic gold tulle and individual blossoms showering down from the ceiling. And to amplify everything, mirrored tables provided a double punch of color reflected in the table top.
