Morning, Cakies! Anyone else hungry just looking at this summery breakfast spread? In our latest collaboration with JNSQ wine (you might’ve seen our chic French bridal shower featuring their rosé awhile back), we wanted to show you all how to make a colorful breakfast bar to serve up at a brunch bridal shower. If you’ve been obsessing over the monochromatic and color block wedding inspiration we’ve shared so far this year, you’ll love how easy it is to make a breakfast bar using two of our fave trending colors: pink + yellow. Here’s how it’s done!
First things first, choose your wine. For this design, we played off the colors of JNSQ‘s two signature wines, Rosé Cru and Sauvignon Blanc. The gorgeous grapefruit tones of this rosé make it almost TOO easy to get inspired. Plus, it comes along with JNSQ’s signature rose bottle stopper. So sweet!
You may already know about JNSQ and their Rosé Cru (perhaps you were inspired by our French bridal shower?) But if not, there’s a few things you should know about this rosé. It’s carefully sourced from one of our fave destinations, California’s central coast, and the combination of Grenache, Pinot Gris, Syrah, and Viognier that make up its delicate flavor make it the perfect summer sip.
A little behind its taste… JNSQ Rosé Cru is summer in a glass, no matter what the calendar says. Not too sweet, but never bitter, this grenache-forward Rosé is clean and aromatic with a touch of strawberry and hints of Bing cherry. The dynamic flavors are accented with savory herbal and white floral notes that make it crisp and elegant, perfect for sipping by the pool, serving at a barbecue, or toasting over a candlelit dinner.
To give our pink bridal shower scene some cheerful contrast, we paired the Rosé Cru with JNSQ’s other signature wine, a crisp, bright Sauvignon Blanc. One more pretty bottle? Yes, please!
Why not have your grazing board follow the monochromatic theme? Yellow is so so trendy right now, and it’s especially fun to play with for a bridal brunch (especially if your wedding colors aren’t quite as bold). Veggies and fresh fruit are natural pairings for this Sauv, so it’s the perfect choice for a brunch celebration.
Keep your tableware minimal and white for this look, so the yellows really pop. And yellow wildflowers are so easy peasy to come by this time of year, you could even DIY your own arrangements!
The tasting details for JNSQ’s Sauvignon Blanc… This Sauvignon Blanc brings California sunshine from the vineyards to the table. Light and bright, it offers notes of lemon and green apple, and hints of tropical fruit. The clean texture and delicate body make every sip a treat. It’s a refreshing way to enjoy brunch on a patio, or cool off on a hot night.
A few bottles of each oughta do the trick! Shop both wines at JNSQ.com. And if you try out a spread like this for your next party or a bridal shower, be sure to tag us on Insta!
