We’re just over a week out from 4th of July, can you believe it? Whether you’re planning a big backyard bash or a simple BBQ at a friend’s, these red, white, and blue party ideas coming to us from Golden Arrow Events and Cyd Weeks Photography are sure to inspire an added last minute detail or two. The crew started off with an indigo mudcloth as their inspiration, and combined a traditional 4th of July color palette with some boho details for a creative, modern day twist. Plus, there’s the cutest bicycle adorned with dried and painted 4th of July florals, that you just have to see, in the mix.
PS: If you haven’t stopped by our family blog in while, we’ve got some fun ideas over on Cakelet this week, too!
You can see their mudcloth inspiration beginning with the invitation suite by Pirouette Paper Company.
The table featured florals arranged for a red, white, and blue ombré effect.
A few notes on the design, a la Golden Arrow Events… When creating our inspiration for 4th of July, we really wanted to keep in tone with the traditional patriotic color scheme, but with a boho twist. I wanted the table to look like something I would do at home. So when I spotted Sweet Salvage Rentals mudcloth throws, I knew that was going to be the start to our overall look. We thought it would be fun to use the throws as runners and loved the softness they added to the gorgeous metal table. We used Cherished Rentals Terrain Collection in linen and complimented the plates with vintage silver flatware.
Etched Box created playful mudcloth-inspired name cards, stir sticks, and a cocktail menu.Obvs, this hanging installation over the table is pretty darn unique. Michelle Rogers whipped it up using hanging baskets and different colored yarn to hang with greenery.
When it came to the sweets, Amriel’s Cakes made sure to incorporate the patriotic vibe of the florals along with a (fondant!!!) rope accent as inspired by the hanging installation.
Oh, and here is the aforementioned 4th of July bike situation. Um, the coolest piece of decor ever, right?
So super cute.
