Would you get married on New Years Eve, Cakies? After yesterday’s festive NYE elopement and now this moody, monochromatic editorial by Cari Courtright and Say Yes Event Co, we’ve seen plenty of ideas for creating the perfect NYE design. We’d sure love to see one of our 2020 couples choose a striking black + white palette with modern details like the team dreamt up at BLOC Venue in Roseville, CA…
Love the black walls and industrial vibe of this venue.
The team used lots and lots of texture to balance out the clean lines and modern feel, such as in the bouquet by Alicia Voelker Design.
The details: We designed a tabletop that was smoky and modern with a touch of glam. We layered chiffon, velvet, and leather linens and used the modern Eames chair against a wood table. We mixed opaque and translucent with shiny and matte.
These fluffy all-white florals are too good.
Pinning!
We wanted to showcase a modern and feminine approach to wearing traditional white. We paired a beautiful white plunging jumpsuit with a more traditional sweetheart dress and added custom jewelry and ring stacks.
Gotta have that champagne tower!

Happy New Year, everyone!
