When we see the words bougainvillea, destination wedding, and SPRING, pop up in the 100LC inbox, you know we have to take a closer peek. Lucy + Scott are from Washington, DC, but chose to say I Do in Split, Croatia (a favorite spot of the bride and her fam) at Villa Dalmacija which is right on the Adriatic Sea and full of amazing views. YES I DU adorned the venue in all their favorite hues…
So pretty! Le Salon‘s florals complemented their gorgy surroundings.
From the couple… We wanted the style to be reflective of the environment we were in, our favorite colors, and our shared love of history. We wanted a floral-centric design similar to traditional weddings during the Roman Empire era. The colors were variants on our favorites, but adjusted to fit the Croatian atmosphere.
L + S created a combined Catholic + Jewish ceremony with a rabbi and a priest, featuring traditions from both (continuing on to the hora during the reception!) but opted out of a full mass or church/temple ceremony.
Can we be at this villa, like *right now*?
We had a very knowledgeable wedding planner who had previously organized several other events at the villa. She was very invaluable to us throughout the whole process and ensured a smooth setup for the catering, lights, and decorations at the venue. We were also able to ask our photographer to use a drone camera to capture the full view of the venue from the sky and the sea. The pictures were phenomenal.
