Happy Monday, friends! Hope those of you celebrating had a wonderful Easter despite the circumstances. We thought we’d kick off the week with Nikki + Leo’s dreamy Cyprus wedding. You’ll love how they brought their different family roots to Nikki’s dad’s hometown for a big, summery wedding with twelve of the most adorable flower girls you’ll ever see. Oh, and the tunnel of lights at their candlelit reception, considering the love of light tunnels you’ve all shown over on IG. Thanks to Karina Leonenko and The Event Co for sending this wedding our way!
The bride loves teal (see bridesmaid dresses below!) and navy, which made for a rich color palette that they chose to contrast with blush and neutrals throughout.
Oh, and about those 12 flower girls! These little dollies were all Nikki’s cousins who wore dresses inspired by her own. So sweet!
Nikki says, The theme of our wedding was based on summer vibes, teal, and a beautiful outdoor setting. I am half Zambian and lived in Africa my whole life so a beautiful, fresh outdoor setting was very important to me! We really wanted to create a beautiful wedding and holiday experience for all our guests traveling from all over the world for the first time to Cyprus! I really wanted our guests to have seen and fallen in love with Cyprus and Paphos (where my dad is from) by the end of our wedding weekend.
The bride’s custom hand-beaded wedding dress was made in Italy by Lespose di Milano, complete with two different skirts for the ceremony and reception. The ceremony look was a full skirt, whereas the reception look was a half skirt—open at the front. The designers incorporated beads from her mom’s original dress and headpiece onto her new gown.
So cute!
Their four-day wedding celebration included:
• Snazzy all-white welcome cocktail at Suite48
• Traditional Orthodox Church wedding, then cocktail with beautiful views of Paphos from Minthis Hills Resort, and finally beautiful reception at Elea Estate which had such a grand and beautiful feeling.
• Traditional Cypriot Meze Dinner in Tsada Village
• Boat Cruise day at blue lagoon
Who knew all this greenery and decor would be even dreamier at night?
What a stunning day! Cheers to you, Nikki and Leo!
