Should I have a destination wedding? Micro wedding? Or just elope? Our favorite thing about Pooja + Bradley’s Las Vegas wedding is that it kinda has it all. (And with a modest wedding budget of $13K, too!) With 8 months to plan from out of state, P + J had just enough time to incorporate their fave elements of a more traditional wedding, like a bridal party and a guest list (they had 30 loved ones along for the ride), all without sacrificing the allure of a classic Vegas elopement. Thanks to Brittany Lo Photo for sharing this Neon Museum Las Vegas wedding with us today!
Like a true DIY bride, Pooja made her romantic, airy bridal veil on her own with tulle fabric and a pretty barrette. You’d never know!
The bride purchased her Rebecca Ingram dress from I Do Bridal in Seattle, but had it customized with flowy off the shoulder sleeves. And did we mention this glowing makeup look from Heather Febo?! So pretty.
Pooja tells us, We move around every couple of years since Brad is in the Coast Guard. Since we have family from all over, we decided a destination wedding would work best. Brad had never been to Vegas before, and I thought it would be a good location and good weather. While looking up non-traditional wedding venues, I stumbled upon the Neon Museum and immediately knew I had to get married there. Desert vibes plus old Vegas neon signs were right up our alley.
Since they move around so much and don’t have loved ones nearby, having a destination wedding was actually a great way to get so many friends and family together in the same place. Talk about a fun reunion!
The timeline… We aren’t super traditional so once hair and makeup was done, I met Brad downstairs of Mandalay Bay with our wedding party and we drove to Old Vegas to do our wedding party photoshoot. It was so much fun taking photos with Brittany Lo Photo. From there, we had to get to the Neon Museum to start the ceremony. Once the ceremony was over, we drove all around Old Vegas taking photos with just Brad and I. Brittany has a great eye and style and we loved every location she took us. We just hopped in her car and drove around finding cool spots to snap some pictures. After that, we met everyone at the reception at the Border Grill inside Mandalay Bay. We had a taco bar for our guests and the drinks were flowing. From there we enjoyed our time dancing while the DJ played our favorite songs, I danced with my dad, Brad danced with his mom. We cut our cake and kept the party going by hanging out with everyone at the hotel bars.
Old Vegas signs… Yep, best backdrops ever.
