Let’s travel back in time a bit today, to a pre-pandemic wedding in Palm Springs that has us falling in love with mid-century modern style, bougainvillea, and pretty desert hues all over again. Liz and Tommy began with a beautiful ceremony at The Living Desert followed by a punchy pink reception at a killer mid-century home owned by the groom’s parents (lucky!!). Get the full scoop from Brett Loie and After the Engagement below!
You know their guests were thrilled to receive these invites! And the bride, Liz, helped design them!
Pretty desert bridesmaids!
Gotta love leopard on a groom!
The details… Juicy pink, marigold, and green tones set the stage for this colorful Palm desert wedding. The couple married in front of the desert greenery of the Living Desert with a minimal arch decorated with bright pink bougainvillea, then headed to the groom’s parents’ mid-century modern home to party the night away at an extended reception.
Talk about perfect mid-mod style.
Total mood booster, these hot pink blooms.
Liz chose a non-traditional wedding dress which she bought off the rack from Zimmermann’s! She wore her hair sleeked back in a bun, natural makeup, and bright pink nails. For the ceremony, she wore a custom made veil by Samantha Sleeper. Her bouquet was all white and greenery to match the greenery of the venue and to offset her bridesmaids’ colorful looks. For the reception, she switched out to a beautiful hydrangea inspired head piece by Samantha Sleeper as well.
Big congrats to Tommy and Liz. Love your style!
