Looking for creative engagement shoot ideas? We have the cutest story for ya, coming from blogger and DIY bride Amanda Puleo who set up this enchanting scene with her guy Austin. Amanda has always loved the idea of a creative engagement, and what better way to celebrate than to recreate their first date, seeing La La Land at a local drive-in movie theater? Soak up all the fun DIY details and golden hour portraits as you scroll through the gallery by Kayla Coleman Photography:
Amanda snagged the prettiest La La Land inspired emerald dress at Lulu’s.
They set up an adorable picnic complete with custom cake pops, cotton candy, and of course the most amazing balloon arch styled in a vintage convertible.
These two! So cute.
Amanda says, My grandma who I was so incredibly close with, was in hospice over the weekend of my shoot, my family was by her side for 4 days straight. I wanted to cancel the photoshoot, but my whole family convinced my fiance and I to proceed as my grammy loved nothing more than photos (she had over 75 photo albums that she made and kept throughout her life). We went on with the session in honor of her! She passed away during the session, right when the sun came out and created the most amazing atmosphere for the photos. It was truly the most magical act of God. She was with us in spirit.
Love everything about this shoot, don’t you? Cheers to the happy couple!
