Happy Friday, Cakies! This cheerful Charleston elopement inspiration coming to us from Sydney Danielle of Radiant Photography is perfect for the fun-loving couple that wants to keep their big day playful and lighthearted. Inspired by the city’s charming candy-colored palette, Sydney and the team made sure Katelyn and Austin had a blast exploring Rainbow Row and nearby beaches, resulting in the sweetest photos!
Our color palette was intentional in ‘twinning’ with the beautiful pastel colored buildings along the historic streets of downtown Charleston. Not only was the bride’s bouquet by Antique Rose Floral a nod to Rainbow Row, but it was full of dried florals. A neat tip for a warm/travel elopement is to get a dried floral bouquet as the flowers will never die, and you can keep it as a sentiment forever! Another fun tip for convenience and in trying something nontraditional—substitute a wedding cake for macaroons! The couple enjoyed a few colorful macaroons we placed in a handmade basket filled with some sweet grass we picked up from the renowned outdoor Charleston market.
So many cutie details, like their watercolor map art by Snow Lily Studio and Charleston houses pin by The Town Serif.
Light and bright looks for both the bride and groom are a must with so many summery backdrops!
And this polka dot wedding dress is too cute.
Before we ventured to the beach, we chilled in the famous Pink Figgy, Charleston’s rare vintage Nissan Figaro. Even the car matched the wedding colors. The city is filled with so much history of course, and it’s pretty dreamy discovering the different quaint streets and the aged, yet timeless detailed homes. Charleston truly makes for unique photos and special trips—even if for a weekend. Lastly, Folly Beach is less than 30 minutes away. If couples love the beach, this is the perfect pairing. You can say your vows to one another either in the morning, or during sunset at a part of the beach with lower crowds. We went to a mostly secluded area where these two made vows together, then placed ring pops on their hands for fun. They popped some bubbly, then we called it a day!
