What an absolutely gorgeous birthday party we have for you today, Cakies. The best part? This sweet spring soiree was thrown in honor of baby Arlo’s first, but so many of the details could be used for any gathering you have on the books: a baby shower, bridal shower, Easter or Mother’s Day brunch… We can even see our creative couples channeling these sunny golden hues in their own summer wedding. Knowing that Amorology was behind this birthday party, we wouldn’t expect anything less! Thanks to Lucy Munoz for sharing the photos below…
The design concept for this 1st birthday theme began with baby Arlo’s favorite picture book, Hello, Hello! The book explores nature and inspires an appreciation for all of our endangered species, and his mama would read it to him every night!
To set the stage, guests were greeted by a custom backdrop that read, “Hello Neighbor, Hello Friend,” and stuffed animal endangered species for each of the kids to take home at the end of the party.
Such a pretty bar setup! The blue and white checks were nestled between trees and lush greenery with fringe and velvet pendants hanging above. As a play on all of the different animals in the book, adults were invited to sip on a “Something Whoa,” and “Something Wild,” while the sweet littles sipped on a mocktail named “Something Tame.”
Littles then played in the sensory boxes from Alissa Hummel, one for land and one for sea complete with different toy animals, textures, and other sensory items. For an extra little favor, guests were also able to take home their own personal sensory boxes with their name calligraphed!
Guests snacked on grilled cheese and ice cream sandwiches underneath striped fabric covered cabanas accented with whimsical balloons and florals while seated down to place settings that mimicked lion manes. Camel glassware, bone flatware and a darling cheetah plate sat in front of each setting. A mustard check runner accented the table along with a floral runner bringing in pops of coral and citrus tones.
Posey Pop incorporated dreamy, lush floral arrangements throughout the entire property. And of course, nothing says first birthday like a smash cake! Sweet Arlo dove right into his peach cake from Hey There, Cupcake adorned with bubble balloons and a sweet number 1 on top!
What an absolutely beautiful day! See more lovely 1st birthday themes here.
