Before we get into the beauty and romance of this Italy elopement coming to us from new vendor guide member Peggy of Maison Pestea, can we talk about this DRESS?! Bride Jenn has worked at Marchesa for over a decade, and has long been dreaming of having a custom gown made when the time came. Enter: a colorful floral, feather-embellished wedding dress expertly crafted by her own colleagues!
Such a beautiful dress! The bride explains, Eloping meant abandoning most traditional aspects of a wedding, but I still wanted “the dress” no matter what! The flowers on the gown are hand dyed feathers and cut organza, put together with crystals in the center along with hundreds of dangling bugle beads. It was sewn together with love by all of my coworkers. I pictured this one of a kind colorful gown made with so much love with colorful Positano as the backdrop.
Love Jenn’s colorful robe for those photo-worthy getting ready moments, too!
Choosing an Italy Elopement
Brian is an airline pilot and has taught me over the last decade to love travel, so it made sense for us to elope to Italy. We planned a two-week honeymoon with the elopement as the kickoff. We stayed at Le Sirenuse in the days leading up but moved to Villa Boheme for the day because they had a gorgeous villa which was great for photos. My favorite part of the day was being on the boat at sunset with Brian and Peggy our photographer, listening to Abba and drinking champagne. We then kicked off the night with a drink on the beach and then dinner at La Sponda.
Villa Boheme Positano is a luxury villa tucked in the hillside overlooking Positano with three different suites in addition to their main house. The terrace’s pool and cocktail bar overlook Positano’s main beach. The villa is not only surrounded by Amalfi Coast views, but gorgeous gardens and lush greenery too.
Positano Boats took the couple for a sunset boat ride along the coastline. The night ended with the two of us on our patio, in pajamas overlooking the gorgeous scenery, listening to jazz and sipping our favorite bourbon I had carried from Paris. It was the best day ever.
Such a perfect Italy elopement! Congrats to Jenn + Brian!
