“As larger weddings come back into vogue, we’re seeing that couples want their guests to be closer and feel like they can see and participate in what’s happening,” explains Vijay Goel of 440 Elm. “More open seating, especially outdoors, allows couples to use a circular or 270-degree layout approach to bring everyone closer, especially if the ceremony is anchored in a mandap, chuppah, or other structure.”
In addition to fostering a deeper connection with guests, this setup also ensures everyone has a great view as they surround the couple with love and support.
Another ceremony seating style en vogue is runway seating, where seating faces the aisle as they do for a fashion show. Cayla Cummings of Carhart Photography notes that couples are “reserving the rows along the aisle for both their immediate families as well as their wedding party, creating an entirely color-coordinated aesthetic down the aisle.”

“The vintage style is growing in popularity because of TV shows such as Bridgerton,” explains Khloe Jackson of W Events. “We will see lots of vintage frames, old-worldly glassware, and classic candelabras.”

The larger the frosted edges, the better. People want their cake style to match their attire choices (think ruffled dresses), big floral decorations, and curvilinear reception seating setups.”

“The use of over-draping in decor will be popping up more and more in 2025,” Loni Peterson of LP Creative Events confirms. “Dramatic draping can be done as wall covering to add an architectural element and on table tops bringing in additional drama.”

In particular, red is stealing the spotlight in this year’s weddings. “Interior designers have been using the unexpected red theory long before it went viral on TikTok,” Taylor explains. “Red is timeless. Red creates balance in more neutral themes. Red can be smart and formal or grounded and relaxed. Red is sexy. Red is sophisticated yet splashy, too.”
Symbolizing passion, love, and celebration, red is making a dramatic comeback in wedding attire, decor, and florals. But if crimson isn’t your color, you can still make a splash with bold shades of emerald, cobalt, orange, and saffron!

Rather than a standard black table and speakers, “you’ll see more and more DJ booths matching the aesthetic,” he says. “Rather than taking away from an event’s style, proper DJs will be enhancing it.”
